Job summary

Bravas is seeking a Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and support smart home systems across luxury residential projects. You’ll work with premium brands like Control4, Lutron, Savant, and Crestron to ensure flawless performance and client satisfaction.

This client-facing role requires hands-on technical skills, professional demeanor, and commitment to high standards of service. You may participate in on-call rotations and must maintain documentation and system records.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in residential A/V or smart home installation/service preferred.
  • Strong understanding of A/V, security, lighting, and home automation systems (Control4, Lutron, Savant, Crestron, DSC, Clare).
  • Ability to read and interpret home schematics, plans, and CAD drawings.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in client environments.
  • Strong communication and client service skills with a professional demeanor.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to quickly learn job management software.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check; security license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with installed systems (Control4, Lutron, Homeworks, Savant, Crestron).
  • Configure, program, and troubleshoot networks, control systems, A/V, and surveillance equipment.
  • Use remote access tools to repair and stabilize network-based systems.
  • Set up remote monitoring platforms and enroll clients in support plans.
  • Coordinate with Service Manager to track and resolve recurring service issues.
  • Communicate with manufacturer tech support when needed.
  • Manage part replacements, track orders, and ensure timely repairs.
  • Identify upgrade opportunities and share recommendations with the team.
  • Deliver client service, training, and support in person and remotely.
  • Maintain records of work orders, time entries, and job costing.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and assets responsibly.
  • Protect client privacy and home/network security.

The Role

We’re looking for a Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional client experiences through expert service, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and supporting smart home systems across our luxury residential projects. You’ll work with products such as Control4, Lutron, Savant, and Crestron - ensuring that every system you touch performs flawlessly and every client interaction reflects the BRAVAS standard of excellence.

This is a hands-on, client-facing position where technical expertise, professionalism, and attention to detail are key to success.
