Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Harrisburg, PA to provide compassionate direct care to individuals with developmental and behavioral health needs. No prior experience is required as paid training is provided; work includes assisting with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and community participation within Merakey's IDD division.

Shifts available during the day, with opportunities to promote independence, skills development, and community integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills
• Provide community support, transportation
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained)
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs
