Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Slatington, PA to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. No experience required – paid training provided; shifts are varied and the pay rate is $16.75 per hour.

This role offers meaningful daily work within a mission‑driven nonprofit setting. You will join a compassionate team providing direct care, life skills coaching, and transportation support, while ensuring health and safety, documentation, and client progress

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License
• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
• Related experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills
• Provide community support, transportation
• Promote health, safety, and well‑being, including medication support (as trained)
