Job summary

TuftsMedicine seeks a cardiology technologist to provide medical and clinical support, performing Holter scanning and other cardiology procedures under supervision. You'll evaluate conditions, document results, and ensure timely reports to cardiologists, while maintaining supplies and supporting quality improvement.

The role requires a high school diploma, Cardiac Dysrhythmia course or Holter experience, and ability to work 30 hours per week (Tue/Wed/Fri shifts) at MelroseWakefield Hospital.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of Cardiac Dysrhythmia course or 1 year Holter monitoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs cardiology procedures including Holter scanning with independence and accuracy.
• Follows hospital protocols and produces quality studies in a timely manner.
• Documents patient information, processes reports, files and delivers reports timely.
• Notifies Cardiologist of EKGs, Holter and Ambulatory Monitor transmissions needing interpretation.
• Downloads and scans Holter Monitors and ensures quality results.
• Coordinates stress tests with MDs and Nuclear Medicine staff for quality interpretation.
