Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certificate of completion of Cardiac Dysrhythmia course and core competency checklist OR One year experience with Holter monitors.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs all aspects of the cardiographer position and completes admin work.
• Follows hospital exam protocols and delivers high-quality studies.
• Documents patient information, processes reports, files, and delivers reports timely.
• Notifies Cardiologist of ECGs, Holter scans, and Ambulatory Event Monitor transmissions needing interpretation.
• Downloads and scans Holter monitors with accuracy.
• Ensures quality Holter scans meet cardiologist expectations.
• Supports MDs and Nuclear Medicine staff to ensure quality stress tests.
• Facilitates stress lab scheduling and coordination with IV therapy and medical floors.
• Notifies cardiologist of dangerous arrhythmias.
• Troubleshoots equipment and reports technical issues.
• Ensures cardiology reports are left for interpretation and educates patients about exams.
• Responds to schedule changes calmly and adjusts as needed.
