Job summary

Flanigan’s Enterprises seeks friendly servers to welcome guests, take orders, and deliver meals in a fast-paced dining environment.

You will handle payments, maintain cleanliness, support teammates, and follow safety policies; Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certs are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk for the full shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and deliver plates.
• Must complete Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance and service flow.
• Be knowledgeable about Food & Beverage menus and promotions, and answer guests’ questions clearly.
• accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system in a timely manner.
• Retrieve orders from kitchen/bar and deliver to guests in a timely manner.
• Assess guests’ demeanor and know when to summon a Manager.
• Handle payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards) and ensure correct transactions with POS.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

Overview

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes
