Job summary

LaForce is seeking a Cost Estimator - Hollow Metal to join our fast-growing construction team in Green Bay, Wisconsin. You will price materials, read specs, and support sales and estimating teams to build competitive bids.

You will work with vendors, use estimating software, and collaborate across departments to strengthen bids, while managing multiple projects in a dynamic, team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers.
• Good communication skills – email, phone, and face-to-face.
• Ability to read and work from electronic and paper documents.
• Organized and able to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and grow in the construction estimating field.
• Must be based onsite in Green Bay, WI with regular and punctual attendance.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze specs and construction documents to understand what’s needed.
• Use estimating software to price out materials.
• Work closely with vendors to get product info and accurate pricing.
• Collaborate with coworkers and departments to develop smart bid strategies.
• Spot potential issues or opportunities to make our bids stronger.
• Help refine our pricing systems and adapt to changes in the industry.
