Job summary

Mercyhealth in Rockford, IL is seeking a registered nurse to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across units as needed. You will administer medications, perform nursing assessments, and collaborate with the care team to implement individualized plans of care.

The role requires an ADN with RN licensure in Illinois (BSN preferred), CPR/BLS, and unit-specific certifications. You may work variable shifts, weekends, holidays, and be on-call, with opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensed in state of practice.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification within 90 days.
• Experience per unit guidelines as applicable.
• Color vision testing may apply.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and treatments per policy and state laws.
• Documents per standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops patient care plans with physician guidance.
• Floats to various units as needed based on identified needs.
• Participates in performance improvement activities.
• Escalates patient safety concerns when needed.
• Supports longitudinal plan of care across units.
