Qualifications

• ADN required upon hire, BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team in caring for patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per policies, standards, and state laws.
• Documents according to standards of care.
• Performs assessments, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Develops and executes a patient plan of care as prescribed by physicians and policy.
• Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities.
• Provides guidance to other units to support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Uses critical thinking to ensure patient safety and experience and escalates as needed.
• Participates in the professional nursing continuum and peer review process.
