Job summary

Qualifications

• One year acute care nursing experience required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Per license requirements.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Current Louisiana State RN license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Practice and Care Management.
• Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments.
• Initiates and updates care plans and discharge planning.
• Delivers patient education for patients and families.
• Communicates with health care team to maximize patient outcomes.
• Delegates appropriately and participates in staff assignments.
• Supports unit quality improvement initiatives.
• Acts as a clinical resource and mentor to staff.
