The Indiana Minority Health Coalition in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Community Doula for a full-time, on-site role. You will provide holistic, culturally responsive support to pregnant and postpartum individuals, including emotional, physical, and informational guidance through pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early newborn period.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, on-call availability, and current inoculations.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a childbirth educator, doula, community health worker or related medical training preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, charting/data entry, analytical and reporting skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsabilités

• Conduct prenatal and postpartum visits with pregnant and postpartum individuals.
• Provide continuous labor support in collaboration with clinical care teams.
• Assist families with birth planning, self-advocacy, and navigating health and social services resources.
• Educate on childbirth, lactation, newborn care, and infant safety; document services and maintain confidential records.
• Participate in outreach, workshops, and community health initiatives; collaborate with IMHC staff and partners.
