Job summary

EmpowerMama in Pennsylvania seeks PA Medicaid-enrolled full-spectrum doulas to provide non-medical support to families from pregnancy through postpartum, including labor and delivery. You will deliver home-based and community care addressing physical, emotional, and informational needs.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English; second language preferred.
• Enrolled PA Medicaid provider; background check required.
• Full spectrum or postpartum doula training and certification; CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Birth support during labor and delivery; continuous emotional and physical support.
• Emotional support and guidance for expectant/new parents.
• Physical comfort measures and recovery support post childbirth.
• Infant care instruction and newborn soothing techniques.
• Provide evidence-based information on pregnancy, birth options, infant care, breastfeeding, postpartum care.
• Act as advocate with healthcare providers and resources.
