Metropolitan Ministries seeks a Seasonal Volunteer Engagement Coordinator to create an exceptional volunteer experience during the holiday season. You will support recruitment, orientation, and engagement across Tampa Bay, serving as a welcoming ambassador for volunteers and partners.

The role requires strong computer skills, excellent English communication, and the ability to work independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in customer service/volunteer coordination.
• Experience coordinating volunteers or similar programs is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Create an exceptional volunteer experience during the holiday season.
• Manage volunteer check-in, registration, and scheduling.
• Coordinate placements for holiday programs across Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas Counties.
• Facilitate orientations and training, communicating mission and safety procedures.
• Build relationships with volunteers and community groups to enhance engagement and retention.
• Support Holiday Volunteer Leaders to meet seasonal volunteer needs.
• Collaborate with ministry departments to meet volunteer needs and deploy volunteers effectively.
• Represent Metropolitan Ministries at community sites and events.
• Assist in volunteer recognition, surveys, and reporting to improve programs.
