Job summary

Five Below is seeking part-time Seasonal Sales Associates to support our holiday rush (October through January). In this role you will greet customers, help locate merchandise, process transactions at the register, and keep the floor stocked and organized for a smooth shopping experience.

You should have strong people and sales skills, be comfortable with technology, and communicate clearly with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (such as computers, cash registers, handheld and mobile devices).
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
• Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge acquired through on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly: Approach and acknowledge customers immediately, providing assistance and handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs: Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Promote store events and promotions: Inform customers about current store events, promotions, and special activities to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns: Address customer issues and use product knowledge to offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management: Regularly inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and any customer feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals: Collaborate with the team to achieve overall store and company objectives.
