Job summary

Marshalls in Houma, LA is seeking a store associate to deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers and keeping the store clean and organized. You may work across store areas to support business needs and uphold loss prevention and merchandising standards.

The ideal candidate has excellent customer service, can work a flexible schedule, communicates well, multitasks, and can lift heavy objects. Retail experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Role models established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Supports and embodies a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately rings customer purchases/returns and counts change back to customer according to established operating procedures.
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintains merchandising standards and follows established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Accurately processes and prepares merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures and standards.
• Initiates and participates in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintains cleanliness and recovery standards for the sales floor and store.
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adheres to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Supports shrink reduction goals and programs.
• Participates in safety awareness and maintains a safe environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
