• Safely use ladders, lifts, hand tools and installation equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and service calls throughout the season.
• Follow installation plans with attention to detail.
• Keep sites, vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Collaborate with crew to complete installations safely and efficiently.
• Provide friendly, professional service to customers.
• Assist with takedowns and post-season organization.

Part-Time Seasonal Holiday Lighting Technician

Humbug Holiday Lighting of Sioux Empire is looking for dependable, hard-working individuals to join our team for the 2026 holiday lighting season!

If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a team, and seeing the results of your work at the end of the day, this could be a great seasonal opportunity. You’ll help us transform homes and businesses throughout the Sioux Empire with professional holiday lighting displays.

No holiday lighting experience is required — we provide training!

What You'll Do

• Install professional holiday lighting and decorations on homes and businesses.
• Work on rooflines, trees, shrubs, wreaths, garland, and other holiday displays.
• Safely use ladders, lifts, hand tools, and installation equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting, repairs, and service calls throughout the season.
• Follow installation plans and pay close attention to detail.
• Keep job sites, vehicles, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
• Work with your crew to complete installations safely and efficiently.
• Provide friendly, professional service when interacting with customers.
• Assist with holiday light takedowns and organization after the season.

What We're Looking For

• Dependable and ready to work.
• Comfortable working outdoors in changing South Dakota weather.
• Comfortable working on ladders and at heights.
• Physically able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
• Able to follow directions and work well as part of a crew.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Previous experience with construction, roofing, landscaping, electrical work, ladders, or outdoor labor is helpful, but not required.

Schedule

This is a part-time seasonal position during our busy holiday lighting season.

Primarily September through early December, with takedown work continuing after the holidays.

Hours may vary depending on weather and installation schedules.

Daytime, evening, and weekend availability may be available.

Additional hours may be available during peak installation weeks.
