Job summary
Open Door Mission is seeking a Holiday Driver to join our team in Omaha. This role supports Christian ministry by transporting donations and products from various locations in a timely manner and maintaining good donor relationships.
Responsibilities include coordinating with staff, logging mileage, loading donations, and assisting at Timberlake Outreach Center as needed. Pay ranges from $16.00 to $21.00 per hour, with a Mon-Fri 7:00 AM–3:30 PM schedule at the Omaha Campus.
Qualifications
- Must pass a preemployment physical assessment.
- Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
- Visible, growing, and committed relationship with Christ, based on knowledge of Scripture and life experience.
- Consistent attendance at and involvement with a local Christian church.
- Ideal: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience driving box/cargo trucks.
Responsibilities
- Represent Open Door Mission at stores, companies, churches, etc., building and maintaining relationships.
- Coordinate with Warehouse Staff and on-site staff to ensure proper drop-offs/pickups.
- Maintain mileage logs, times, and note vehicle problems for maintenance or repair.
- Load donations properly and maintain order in the vehicle.
- Enter Gift in Kind receipts from pickups daily.
- Assist at Timberlake Outreach Center as assigned by supervisor when not required to drive.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Provides transportation for pick-up of products and donations from various locations in a timely matter. Adheres to the daily schedule as weather and circumstances permit, and seeks to develop and maintain a good relationship with donors.

- Represent Open Door Mission at stores, companies, churches, etc. Build and maintain relationships with everyone you come into contact with.
- Communicate with Warehouse Staff, Outreach Director, Lead Receiving Associate, and on-site staff at both Elkhorn and Council Bluffs to ensure product and supplies are being dropped off/picked up at the correct places.
- Maintain mileage logs at start and end of the day, record times, and make note of vehicle problems for needed maintenance or repair.
- Load donations properly and maintain order in the vehicle.
- Enter Gift in Kind receipts from pickups daily.
- Assist at Timberlake Outreach Center as assigned by supervisor when not required to drive.
