Hoist Operator/Forklift Driver (12hr Days)

Job Description

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Operate hoist and forklift equipment safely and efficiently during 12-hour day shifts.
  2. Coordinate with Material Handlers to meet departmental goals.
  3. Ensure minimal trims and maximize roll efficiencies through proper handling and salvage operations.
  4. Make necessary adjustments to operate slitter and perform pre-makeready activities to minimize downtime.
  5. Maintain quality and quantity standards for slit products.
  6. Complete log sheets and update the PWMS system accurately for production and inventory tracking.
  7. Collaborate with Maintenance Department to ensure equipment is in good working order and report issues promptly.
  8. Follow safety procedures and demonstrate knowledge of safety SOPs.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Required Skills: Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions in various formats, and work safely around moving parts and sharp objects.

Required Experience

Physical ability to handle equipment, reach, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions daily.
