Christie Lites in Kearny, NJ is seeking a Hoist and Automation Repair Technician to test, repair, and maintain electric and manual chain hoists, rigging gear, and related automation systems. This role emphasizes hands-on repair, safety, and accurate documentation in Nexus and SharePoint.

Starting pay is $24.00 per hour with a standard benefits package and PTO. Applicants based in New York or New Jersey are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, and maintain electric and manual chain hoists.
• Repair and maintain rigging equipment, truss, and flight cases.
• Maintain the work area and inventory.
• Repair electrical and mechanical faults in hoists and automation products.
• Carry out limited circuit board repairs.
• Modify and upgrade equipment per technical notes.
• Order parts required for repair and update software systems.
• Inspect and certify lifting equipment per regional standards.
• Ensure tools and supplies are stored properly.
