Job summary

Christie Lites is seeking a Hoist and Automation Repair Technician to service and repair electric and manual chain hoists, rigging gear, truss, and flight cases. You will diagnose faults, perform electronic and mechanical repairs, and maintain documentation in Nexus and SharePoint.

The role requires a practical, detail-oriented technician with strong organizational skills and collaboration across teams. Location is Kearny, NJ with opportunities in NY/NJ.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, and maintain electric and manual chain hoists
• Repair and maintain rigging equipment, truss, and flight cases
• Maintain the work area
• Repair electrical and mechanical faults in hoists and automation products
• Carry out limited electronic repairs to circuit boards
• Modify and upgrade equipment per technical notes
• Order parts required for repair
• Inspect and certify lifting equipment per regional standards
• Return tools and supplies to storage at shift end
• Maintain an updated parts and tools inventory
• Update Nexus service software with repair records
• Upload certification documents to Nexus or SharePoint

Job Purpose

The Hoist and Automation Repair Technician repairs equipment including but not limited to: Manual and Electric chain hoists, Kinesys automation systems, and lifting and rigging equipment.

Job Purpose

The Hoist and Automation Repair Technician repairs equipment including but not limited to: Manual and Electric chain hoists, Kinesys automation systems, and lifting and rigging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, and maintain electric and manual chain hoists
• Repair and maintain rigging equipment, truss, and flight cases
• Maintain the work area
• Repairs equipment by:
• Repairing electrical and/or mechanical faults in electric chain hoists and automation products including ancillary equipment such as power distribution and machinery control systems
• Carry out limited electronic repairs to the circuit board level
• Modification and upgrade of Christie Lites Official Rental Product Line equipment to Christie Lites standards as specified in the provided technical notes
• Ordering parts required for repair
• Inspection and Certification of lifting equipment based on regional standards and directives at designated intervals as laid out in company standards documents
• Ensure all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage at the end of the shift
• Keep an updated inventory of parts and tools in the dept
• Update Software Systems by:
• Recording of all repairs in the Nexus Service software module
• Upload all passed Certification documents to NEXUS or SharePoint
