Job summary

The Kalamazoo Wings Hockey Club is seeking an experienced Live Stream Technical Director to lead the setup and technical production of our live streaming broadcasts for home games. You will manage the on-site production crew, operate the vMix switcher, and ensure a polished broadcast with sponsor integrations and engaging graphics.

This role requires hands-on leadership, quick decision-making, and meticulous attention to detail to deliver a professional, consistent streaming product for fans

Qualifications

Experience streaming live sports broadcasts.
Ability to operate a professional production switcher (vMix).
Understanding of live sports timing, camera selection, and storytelling.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Technical Director for Kalamazoo Wings live game streams.
Operate the production switcher (vMix) during broadcasts.
Execute sponsor elements, commercials, promo graphics, lower thirds and streaming content.
Monitor the overall quality and continuity of the live stream.
Communicate clearly with the production team during broadcasts.
Follow the rundown and adapt to live action on air.
Ensure pre-game readiness of cameras, graphics, playback, audio and systems.
Troubleshoot issues quickly during live broadcasts.
Maintain a consistent look and production quality across streams.
Provide ideas to improve the streaming product.
