The Glenvew Community Ice Center is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic instructor to teach developmental classes and skills progression to youth league players. This role is responsible for conducting classes in a safe and professional manner, and within all rules and regulations of Glenview Park District, GPD Hockey, USA Hockey, AAU and other governing bodies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to:
Qualified candidates must be at least 16 years of age and have 8 years of skating experience. Knowledge of USA hockey skills progression and ability to demonstrate the skills being taught are required. Must be team oriented and enjoy working with children.
This is a part-time position. The instructor must have some evening and weekend availability based on seasonal schedule of developmental hockey, clinics and youth leagues. Able to attend seasonal training and staff meeting as required. Pay is commensurate based on prior teaching and skating experience ranging between $22-28/hour.
