Job summary

Retreatia is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support HOA properties in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, year-round. The role emphasizes dependable, service-oriented performance, with responsibilities including general maintenance, preventive care, and responding to work orders.

The ideal candidate is proactive, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently or with a team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position offering hourly pay in the $23–$25 range.

Qualifications

  • Perform general maintenance and repairs to buildings, common areas, mechanical systems, and exterior amenities.
  • Complete routine preventive maintenance and property inspections.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency service calls.
  • Perform seasonal maintenance including snow removal, ice mitigation, landscaping, irrigation maintenance, and property clean-up.
  • Identify maintenance concerns and proactively report safety hazards or repair needs.
  • Assist with coordinating and overseeing outside vendors and contractors when needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, materials, and equipment.
  • Safely operate company vehicles, tools, equipment, and machinery.
  • Maintain clean, organized maintenance shops and storage areas.
  • Support special projects, capital improvements, and property enhancements as assigned.
  • Deliver courteous and professional customer service while interacting with homeowners, residents, guests, contractors, and fellow team members.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours maintenance emergencies, as required.

Description

Retreatia is seeking a dependable, skilled, and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to support our portfolio of Homeowners Association (HOA) properties. This year-round position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, and safety of multiple communities while providing exceptional service to homeowners, residents, and guests.

The ideal candidate is proactive, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in all seasons.

Requirements
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs to buildings, common areas, mechanical systems, and exterior amenities.
  • Complete routine preventive maintenance and property inspections.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency service calls.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical training, trade certifications, or vocational education preferred.
  • General maintenance experience in one or more of the following:
    • Plumbing
    • Electrical
    • Drywall and painting
    • Mechanical systems
  • Experience with irrigation systems, landscaping, or snow removal is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive bending, kneeling, climbing, reaching, and standing.
  • Work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions including snow, rain, heat, and cold.
  • Safely operate ladders, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
