Job summary

British American Household Staffing is seeking a dependable full-time live-out nanny for two young children in the Upper East Side. The role runs Monday to Thursday 8am–6pm with optional Friday 8am–1pm; overtime may be paid.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, discreet, loving with children, and capable of taking ownership of daily routines while coordinating with parents. A low-tech home environment is preferred.

Overview

A family on the UES is seeking a top-notch nanny for their 2 young children ages 3-years-old and 5-months-old. The role is full-time and live-out. The schedule is Monday through Thursday 8am-6pm (40 hours) with an option to work Fridays 8am-1pm (and at times, nanny may be requested to work this day/hours so must have flexibility to at least work this day on occasion and overtime will be paid). The toddler is in preschool and camp 5 days a week from 8:30am-12:30pm, has lunch there, comes home to nap around 1pm-2:30pm so the primary care is for the baby from 8:30am-12:30pm and then a few hours with both after toddler's naptime. The role begins August 3rd but they do have some flexibility. The parents have flexible work schedules and may occasionally work from home. They are looking for a nanny who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the children’s daily routine while collaborating with involved parents. They value a low tech home. No AirPods or excessive phone use during work hours. No screen-time for the children. Phone use while working will be solely for personal emergency or to communicate with parents.

Salary and Benefits

• $40-45/hour, based on experience and credentials
• Healthcare stipend of $250 biweekly ($500 monthly)
