Job summary

Diversified Services Network, Inc. is seeking a Systems Requirements & Validation Engineer in Mossville, IL.

This onsite, full-time role focuses on requirements engineering, validation, and verification for HMI display solutions across power, energy, and transportation applications. The engineer collaborates with development teams through the full product lifecycle, translating needs into well-defined requirements, and demonstrating conformance via testing.

Qualifications

Experience developing, documenting, reviewing, or managing technical requirements.
Experience developing and executing test plans and test cases for software and/or system validation and verification.
Experience validating embedded systems, HMI applications, controls, or similar electronic systems.
Familiarity with embedded software algorithms, controls, and electronic systems, as well as software development and testing processes.
Experience troubleshooting complex system and software issues.
Familiarity with test automation and scripting, preferably in Python.

Responsibilities

Translate customer and system-level needs into clear, testable requirements for software teams.
Develop, document, review, and maintain system and HMI software requirements.
Define interfaces between HMI displays and other electronic control modules and systems.
Develop validation strategies, test plans, and test cases.
Execute functional, regression, sanity, endurance, and performance tests.
Create automated test scripts to improve efficiency and coverage.
Set up validation benches and maintain test equipment.
Support investigation and resolution of customer and field issues.
