Job summary

Finance of America Holdings, a leader in reverse mortgage solutions, seeks a Senior Professional to manage HMBS pools—structuring, pricing, execution, and settlement—while optimizing loan inventory and liquidity. You’ll develop data-driven processes, automate workflows, and collaborate with treasury, accounting, and operations to ensure compliant, efficient secondary market activities.

Applicants should have at least 4 years in mortgage banking, strong Excel and programming skills

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in mortgage banking or related financial services sector.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Programming experience in SQL, Python, or VBA.
• Mathematical acumen.
• Attention to detail is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares recurring and ad hoc reporting on pool sales, loan inventory, channel margins, historical performance, and other loan- and portfolio-level analytics.
• Manages daily loan bidding, pricing, lock confirmations, and counterparty communication.
• Develops understanding of the mortgage banking industry from origination to sale of the asset.
• Executes trades ensuring compliance with investor guidelines and optimizing liquidity and profitability.
• Monitors the daily secondary market pipeline to assess and mitigate interest rate and market exposure.
• Uses financial models to structure and analyze HMBS pools and pricing methods based on market conditions and investor demand.
• Coordinates HMBS pool setup, trading delivery, and settlement with treasury, accounting, and operations.
• Develops and maintains SQL queries, Python scripts, Power Automate flows, and other automated processes to improve data accuracy and pricing/execution workflows.
• Maintains and distributes pricing grids to internal and external parties.
• Monitors mortgage market trends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
