Qualifications

• Must have the ability to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions.
• One year of laundry operations experience preferred, in a hospitality or health care environment.
• Strong customer service orientation and ability to engage residents and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, and fold resident laundry and related items.
• Sort garments and linens; pre-rinse, treat, and bleach as needed.
• Operate and care for laundry equipment; report malfunctions.
• Maintain inventory of linens and supplies; communicate shortages.
• Keep area clean and in compliance with OSHA standards.
• Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with the team and residents.
• Assist with spill cleanup and other housekeeping duties as needed.

Washes, dries and folds resident laundry, as required, housekeeping mops and rags, etc. in a manner that will not damage equipment or items being processed.2. Sorts garments and contaminated linens, pre-rinses, treats and bleaches as necessary.3. Responsible for the proper operation and care of laundry equipment. Maintains a clean laundry work area and equipment. Reports equipment malfunctions and/or damaged linens to the Housekeeping Director.4. Maintains inventory of facility linens and related laundry supplies. Marks items, as necessary.5. Informs Housekeeping Director of any supply shortages. Reports all infractions of state and federal regulations by company to the Housekeeping Director or other appropriate personnel. Attends all in-services and meetings.6. Provides support for cleanup of leaks, spills, floods, fire, etc.7. Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.8. Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.9. Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.High school education or GED preferred, but not required.Position requires a minimum of one year experience in laundry operations, preferably in a hospitality or health care environment.
