Huhtamaki, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to operate assigned packaging machines in the Convocan department. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to GMP and company specifications, and accurate data entry into production systems.
The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience with industrial machinery, reads technical specs, and can perform basic math and reporting. This on-site role requires a strong sense of teamwork and commitment to quality standards.

Operate all assigned machines in Convocan department and following safety standards, production schedule requirements, and Huhtamaki and customer specification requirements.
This position has no supervisory responsibility
High School Diploma or GED preferred SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the operation of industrial machinery (experience performing adjustments and repairs in a production environment preferred) Should posses mechanical aptitude abilities Understand and be able to read product specifications is highly desired. Ability to read/write in English; capable of acting to written or verbal instruction Basic understanding of math concept to complete production reporting requirements Must possess basic computer skills for use of systems: BPCS, TWI, Pi, Filemaker and NWA software Should have good communication, problem solving and decision making skills Good knowledge of small hand tools and how to use them correctly General understanding of glue and wax application is desired Good knowledge about cover machines is desired General understanding of safety best practices, procedures and practices

Must be able to identify slight color variations. Must be able to lift a minimum of 35lbs to shoulder height. Must be able to climb stairs occasionally to clear jams from trim system/ accumulators. Must be able to bend and stoop occasionally. Must be able to stand and walk 100% of working time. Lift empty pallet weighing up to 50 lbs, push rolls weighing up to 70 lbs
Will spend 100% (excluding breaks and lunch time) of time on the manufacturing floor with moderate noise levels and different ambient temperatures. Require the use of personal protective equipment including (but not limited to) hearing protection, safety glasses, arm sleeves, hair and beard net and steel toe shoes.
