Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; health-related field preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within one month of hire.
• Equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field considered with case management experience.

Responsibilities

• HIV/STI Testing Services: conduct screening and counseling, including rapid HIV tests and specimen collection.
• Coordinate outreach testing activities with community partners and sites.
• Complete required training and documentation for HIV/STI testing and client interventions.
• HIV/STI Prevention Navigation: screen clients for needs related to HIV prevention, mental health, and substance use.
• Develop care plans with clients to meet HIV prevention, mental health, and sexual health goals using Motivational Interviewing.
• Provide linkage and ongoing support with internal/external services and resources via in-person, text, and email.
• Collaborate with community stakeholders to coordinate HIV/STI prevention services.
• Assist with quality control tasks, manage testing supplies and test kit controls.
• Complete reporting to demonstrate effective program implementation.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to agenda items to strengthen services.
• Participate in regional/state HIV/STI planning bodies as requested by Prevention Manager/Director.
• Foster teamwork and deliver excellent customer service.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and participate in trainings and cross-training per WashU policies.
• Engage in quality improvement activities to ensure positive clinical outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
