CAN Community Health is seeking a Program Specialist I to support HIV prevention, education, and outreach initiatives. This entry-level role involves HIV/STI testing, risk reduction counseling, PrEP/HIV and Hepatitis C linkage, and community outreach in diverse settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a related field preferred; college coursework may substitute.
• Must be able to operate a motor vehicle and have valid insurance and driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provides HIV/STI/Hepatitis C testing and risk reduction counseling in community-based settings and clinics, including phlebotomy.
• Educates clients about Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and links clients to PrEP programs.
• Maintains client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA and CAN Community Health policies.
• Documents testing and counseling in EMR, state reporting, and paper records as required.
• Represents CAN Community Health at local, state, and national events and develops partnerships.
