Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a highly motivated In Vivo Scientist to contribute to discovery research focused on HIV biology, including virus production, characterization, and support of HIV discovery efforts. The role emphasizes hands-on virology work, cell-based assays, and collaboration across a versatile team.

The ideal candidate will perform HIV-related experiments using primary human cells and cell lines, analyze data, and help shape project strategies in a dynamic laboratory

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences, Microbiology, Immunology, Virology, or related field.
• Experience in HIV research and BSL-2 lab operations with strong publications preferred.
• Familiarity with HIV host-pathogen interactions.
• Expertise in viral propagation, concentration, and characterization techniques.
• Molecular biology skills: CRISPR, siRNA knockdown, transfection, site-directed mutagenesis, Western blotting.
• Experience with in vivo mouse studies and tissue handling.
• ELISA experience.
• Proficiency with FlowJo, GraphPad Prism, and SnapGene/Geneious Prime.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, execution, optimization, and characterization of HIV production workflows and inventory management.
• Conduct HIV discovery research using primary human cells and immortalized lines.
• Perform and analyze experiments using multi-parameter flow cytometry, RT-qPCR, PCR, ELISA, and MSD assays.
• Generate and characterize stable cell lines expressing proteins of interest.
• Support in vivo studies and ex vivo viral RNA isolation from tissues or blood.
• Analyze data, communicate findings, and contribute to project strategy.
