• Strong background in lentivirus generation/handling and virological assays.
• Expertise in advanced fluorescence microscopy and quantitative image analysis.
• Experience with tissue culture methods.
• Molecular biology experience including cloning/modifying lentiviruses.
• Biochemical techniques such as Western blotting for lentivirus assembly/particle production.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving abilities and track record of research.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills; collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement virological, biochemical, and imaging assays to address HIV‑1 assembly questions.
• Apply advanced microscopy techniques and perform quantitative image analysis on viral processes.
• Conduct tissue culture experiments to support research objectives.
• Utilize molecular biology techniques to investigate HIV‑1 assembly mechanisms.
• Collaborate with and co‑mentor graduate students to develop scientific skills.
• Contribute to grant proposals, publications, and presentations disseminating findings.
