Job summary

The University of Denver seeks aPostdoctoral researcher to design and execute virology and imaging experiments focused on HIV-1 virus assembly. You will leverage advanced fluorescence microscopy, image analysis, and tissue culture to address fundamental questions and publish findings.

You will mentor graduate students, contribute to grant writing, and present results to the scientific community. The role is based on the Denver campus with standard daytime hours and collaborative lab culture.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in virology, biophysics, biochemistry, immunology, or a closely related field.
• Experience with lentivirus preparations and virological assays is preferred.
• Advanced fluorescence microscopy and quantitative image analysis skills.
• Molecular biology experience with cloning and lentivirus modification.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement virological, biochemical, and imaging assays for HIV-1 assembly.
• Apply advanced microscopy and quantitative image analysis to study viral processes.
• Conduct tissue culture experiments to support research objectives.
• Collaborate with and co-mentor graduate student researchers.
• Contribute to grant proposals, publications, and presentations.
