Job summary

Castelion in Texas is seeking a HITL Test Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and own hardware-in-the-loop test infrastructure for embedded software verification on flight-critical hardware.

You will develop scalable HITL stations, integrate with Kubernetes and CI/CD, and collaborate across software, firmware, FPGA, avionics, electrical, and systems teams to improve development velocity and product quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience building automated test frameworks (pytest, Robot Framework).
• Familiarity with embedded software and firmware workflows (flashing, boot, debug).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and own Castelion's HITL test infrastructure for embedded software and firmware verification.
• Build scalable HITL test stations for microcontrollers, FPGAs, GPUs, and custom compute hardware.
• Develop automated test frameworks to verify loading, boot sequences, runtime performance, and system behavior.
• Integrate HITL systems into Kubernetes and CI/CD workflows for hardware reservation and test execution.
• Develop Python-based test software and automation tools to maximize coverage and productivity.
• Define verification requirements with cross-disciplinary teams and expand automated test coverage.
