Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in histotechnology or related field is required.
• ASCP certification and Louisiana clinical license are required.
• Experience in anatomic pathology and histology workflows is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Receive, accession, and process surgical, biopsy, and autopsy specimens for tissue processing.
• Embed tissues in paraffin, section, stain, and label slides for microscopic examination.
• Assist pathologists and residents in gross dissection and quality control.
• Maintain equipment, document QC, and follow safety guidelines.
