Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital is seeking a motivated Histotechnologist for our large, automated anatomic pathology lab in New York. This full-time evening shift role processes a high volume of specimens using state-of-the-art equipment and collaborative clinical interaction.

Responsibilities include grossing, embedding, sectioning, staining, cover slipping, labeling and distribution, with opportunities for specialty pay differential in Histology and a competitive sign-on bonus up to $10K.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Science or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• New York State licensure as a CLT or Histology professional.

Responsibilities

• Perform grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, cover slipping, labeling and distribution.
• Operate state-of-the-art equipment for histology procedures.
• Provide on-site, evening shift work Monday-Friday with specific schedule.

Description

We are seeking a motivated grossing professional who is looking to take the next step in their career. Perform all routine procedures as a Histotechnologist to include grossing, embedding, cutting, staining, cover slipping, labeling, special staining and distribution using state-of-the-art equipment.

This is a full-time evening shift position working Monday-Friday with a schedule of Monday-Thursday 3p-11p and Fridays 2p-10p.

Competitive sign-on bonus up to $10K

• Experiential bonus commensurate with experience

Also offering specialty pay differential for Histology

Preferred Criteria

• At least one year experience in Histology
• Experience with special staining procedures

Required Criteria

• Associates Degree in Science and completion of an approved Histology accredited program OR a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education department or certified as a Histology Technician, Clinical Laboratory Technician or Clinical Laboratory Technologist
