Qualifikationen

• AS degree or equivalent training and experience.
• HT (ASCP) certification.
• 3 years Histology experience.
• Current state licensure, if applicable.
• Meets corporate Minimum Qualifications for Histotechnician and Histology Supervisor.
• If performing Immunohistochemistry testing, meet all requirements.

Aufgaben

• Performs routine and non-routine slide preparation for microscopic evaluation.
• Capable of performing all duties of Histotechnologist I.
• May perform gross tissue examination if qualified.
• Prepare solutions and reagents for special stain procedures.
• Obtain and validate controls for special stains.
• Perform all IHC procedures when required.
• Train Histotechnicians/Histotechnologists, students, and lab aides.
• Adhere to QC policies and document QC activities.
