Quest Diagnostics Incorporated seeks a Histotechnologist I in Tampa, FL, working Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with rotational weekends. Pay begins at $28.05 per hour.

The role involves preparing slides for microscopic evaluation, tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and IHC procedures, with a focus on quality control and regulatory compliance. Applicants should have an AA/AS degree or equivalent training, 1–3 years of Histotechnician experience, and HT (ASCP) or HTL

Qualifications

• AA or AS degree or equivalent training and experience.
• 1-3 years experience as a Histotechnician.
• HT (ASCP) or HTL (ASCP) certification.

Responsabilités

• Prepare slides for microscopic evaluation following policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper accessioning, labeling, processing, embedding, and microtomy of tissue samples.
• Perform H&E staining, coverslipping, and preparation of solutions for special stains and IHC procedures.
• Maintain equipment, document quality control actions, and ensure compliance with CLIA/CAP regulations.
