About the Role

Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a Histotechnologist/Histotechnician for our laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA @ Nova Place, with a start date on or before June 19, 2025.

A Day in the Life of a Laboratory Histologist

You won't find a work culture and benefits package like ours every day. Join our team and colleagues who love working at Castle! A typical day involves performing basic histology tasks such as embedding, cutting, and routine H&E staining. Focus on dermatological and gastrointestinal specimens, handle quality control, preventative maintenance, SOP reviews, and cut tissue microarrays (TMAs). The day primarily involves managing workflows, cutting specimens, and staining slides for accurate processing.

Requirements

• AA degree and/or Histotechnician (AA) in a scientific discipline or equivalent
• 2-5 years of clinical histology experience
• Track towards ASCP Histotechnician/Histotechnologist certification within 2 years
• Demonstrated technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration, and independent thought
• Knowledge of clinical histology lab methodologies, regulatory requirements, and laboratory techniques

Schedule and Travel

• Full-time, 8-hour day shift (07:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday)
• Minimal travel, primarily based in Pittsburgh
