Qualifications
0–1 years of experience in a histology laboratory.
ASCP HT or HTL certification required.
Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality tissues and stained slides.
Embed and section various biopsy and surgical cases.
Assist with lab compliance for inspections.
Maintain specimen processing and testing operations.
Skills
Preparation of tissue samples
Quality staining of slides
Troubleshooting technical issues
Workflow management
Patient sample testing
Experience with Epic Beaker
Knowledge of GI and Breast tissue
Education
Associate's degree in medical laboratory sciences
Completion of a certified clinical program in histopathology
