Job summary

WellSpan Health’s Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, PA seeks a skilled Histotechnologist to join the pathology lab. You will perform routine and specialized histology techniques, process tissues, embed, section, stain with H&E, and assist with immunohistochemistry under established policies.

You will maintain equipment, manage reagents, use the LIS and specimen tracking, and contribute to training staff and special projects.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; college transcript required upon hire.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Precisely perform routine and specialized histology techniques following lab policies.
• Prepare microscopic slides including tissue processing, paraffin block sectioning, and H&E staining.
• Produce high-quality slides from frozen or fixed tissues and perform staining including special stains and immunohistochemistry.
• Maintain equipment, manage reagents, and utilize LIS and specimen tracking systems.
• Assist with staff training and support special projects.
