Vanderbilt Health is seeking a Histotechnologist for 3rd shift to prepare tissue specimens for microscopic examinations and specialized testing within the Dept of Anatomic Pathology. You will handle histo and immunocytochemical procedures, maintain QC data, and support high-volume, stat requests.

Responsibilities include embedding, cutting, staining, instrument maintenance, and mentoring junior staff, with opportunities for professional growth within our comprehensive health system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and ASCP histotechnologist certification.
• 1 year of relevant work experience in histology.
• Demonstrated quality assurance and documentation skills.

Responsabilités

• Embed, section, stain, and perform histo and immunocytochemical procedures as directed.
• Maintain instrument maintenance records and QC documentation.
• Train and supervise Histotechnologists and Histotechnicians.
• Identify tissue adequacy for surgical specimens and communicate findings.
