Job summary

Sinai Hospital, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks a skilled histology technologist to perform routine histology, IHC, and special stains. You will embed and cut tissue, maintain equipment, and rely on solid testing principles and computer systems.

Summary

Performs routine histology to include Immunohistochemistry and Special Stains. Demonstrates competency and proficiency in embedding and cutting routine and biopsy tissue. Must be able to articulate knowledge of testing principles, computer skills, quality control, and pre/post-analytical problems.

REQUIREMENTS

Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associates degree (2 years college); requires knowledge of a specialized field. As Life Sciences or related field. 1 - 3 years of experience. HT (ASCP). Must demonstrate proficiency with IHC/SS validations and maintenance of equipment. Must be able to demonstrate and coach others on proper technique with routine Histology functions. Must be able to manage projects. Qualification in IHC desirable.
