Job summary

Labcorp in Houston, TX seeks a Histotechnician to join our team for on-call, first shift duties. The role involves preparing tissue sections and performing immunohistochemical tests to support diagnostic workflows.

The successful candidate will have an associate degree in Histology or equivalent, 1+ year histology experience, and familiarity with CLIA/CAP laboratory quality standards. Prior Labcorp exposure and certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Histology or equivalent with 1+ years of histology experience.
• Current Labcorp experience or Histology certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic exam.
• Prepare stains and reagents for procedures.
• Operate and maintain histology instruments.
• Report results and ensure quality control.
• Adhere to CLIA/CAP standards.
• Document maintenance and log data.
• Follow specimen handling and processing procedures.
