Job summary

Mercy is seeking a laboratory professional to perform routine histological procedures and ensure strict adherence to safety and Mercy policies. The role includes record-keeping, inventory control, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.

The candidate will develop and refine standard operating procedures within the department, supporting the Mercy mission and values in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• HT(ASCP) certification required.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred Education: Associate's degree.
• Preferred Experience: Computer experience.
• Preferred Other Skills and Knowledge: Medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine histological procedures.
• Adheres to Lab safety, patient identification, Mercy policies and procedures.
• Develops standard operating procedures in department.
• Performs duties in alignment with Mercy mission and service standards.
• Record-keeping and quality improvement (QI) functions.
