Job summary

Christie Clinic's Histology department seeks a full-time Histotechnician I (Sign-On Bonus Available) with a Wednesday–Sunday? flexible schedule between 5:30am and 4:00pm at Christie Clinic at The Fields.

The role supports anatomic pathology under pathologist direction, performing tissue processing and slide preparation for microscopic diagnosis. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with NAACLS/CAHEA accreditation and ASCP HT or HLT credentials, with preferred experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree and NAACLS/CAHEA accreditation.
• ASCP HT or HLT certification required or practiced under credentialing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sections of human tissue for examination using tissue processing techniques.
• Operate histology equipment to fix, dehydrate, infiltrate, embed, and stain tissue specimens.
• Perform macroscopic examination and submission of tissues for pathologist review.
• Maintain quality assurance and safety standards in the laboratory.
