Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; histotechnology training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of histological techniques and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process tissue specimens by embedding, sectioning, and staining.
• Operate and maintain microtomes, cryostats, and staining equipment.
• Label and document specimens for traceability throughout testing.
• Follow safety and quality procedures in a compliant lab environment.
• Collaborate with pathologists and staff to ensure timely slide prep.
• Maintain lab supplies inventory and report malfunctions.
• Assist in training new staff and ongoing histotechnology education.
