Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis County seeks a Full-Time Histotechnician I in the Surgical Pathology Department. The role focuses on embedding, microtomy, staining and QA of histology procedures with a day shift start at 5:00am.

A flexible 4–5 day week and possible weekend rotation are offered, with no holidays. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 2–3 years of histotechnician experience preferred; an ASCP certification is valued.

Responsibilities

• Tasks limited to microtomy, embedding, staining. Performs and documents quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary.
• Understands maintenance, troubleshooting and operation of all instrumentation in assigned areas. Has minimal understanding of test principles.

Experience
