Job summary

Personalis, Inc. in Fremont, CA is seeking a Histotechnician to process FFPE specimens for microscopic evaluation to support our molecular diagnostics offerings.

The position includes a Tuesday–Saturday, 4:00pm–12:30am shift with a pay range of $40–$50 per hour, plus shift differential and performance-based bonuses. The role requires an associate degree or NAACLS-accredited histology training, 3+ years in high-volume histology, and preferred HT/HTL ASCP certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in science or NAACLS histotechnology program
• 3+ years in high-volume histology with microtomy and H&E staining
• HT/HTL ASCP certification preferred
• Experience with IHC and digital imaging is a plus

Responsibilities

• Section tissue with a microtome and mount on slides
• Stain tissue sections using automated/manual methods
• Cover slips on slides (automatic/manual)
• Macrodissection (manual/automatic)
• Operate and maintain instruments; follow safety/quality policies
• Record specimen data in LIMS with good documentation practices
• Meet TAT goals while maintaining productivity
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Report problems to supervisor to ensure resolution
