Qualifications

• Two years of Histotechnician experience preferred.
• Florida Histotechnician or Histotechnologist license required upon starting.
• ASCP certification may be applied for license.

Responsibilities

• Processing, embedding, and cutting of tissue specimens.
• Staining and cover-slipping of slides.
• Performing special and immunohistochemical staining procedures.
• Performing frozen section procedures.
• Labeling, correlating, distributing, and filing slides.
• Performing and documenting quality control.
• Reagent maintenance and cleaning of processors and stainers.
• Other laboratory duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience - Two years’ Histotechnician experience preferred.
